Me, Love Me Not by Alyxandra
Harvey
Hi,
and welcome to my stop on the tour!! Thanks for stopping in today!
You will find info on the book, the author, Alyxandra
Harvey,
a
giveaway, and
of course, My Thoughts (cause I love to share!!). Oh, and make sure
you check out other stops on the tour for author interviews, guest
posts, and lots more fun!
My
Thoughts:
The
Cover: What
a beautiful cover. A beautiful, blond young lady graces the cover;
our protagonist I am sure. She is surrounded by gold and white
feathers rain down. I loved the cover. It gave a feeling that some
amazing magic was a big part of the story.
The
Plot:
When
I first opened Love Me, Love Me Not, I was not very excited. I am not
a huge fan of YA romance and I had forgotten that this story had an
amazing twist or two. I remembered very quickly, got very excited,
and proceeded to devour it. I love stories where one of the main
characters is in love with the other, but it is a seemingly not
shared love. While our kick ass main character is focused on falling
in love with her crush and earning her swan wings, her best friend
waits patiently on the side lines. But that isn't even the main part
of the plot. There's magic and kidnapping and theft and fighting and
magic, did I mention magic. Lots of magic. It was an awesome story
line that moved quickly and made for one wild ride. I really enjoyed
the Romeo and Juliet aspect of the story as well.
The
Characters:
I loved all of our characters, even our Renard villians. They were
all created with amazing care, with strong personalities and flaws
that made them all the more real. I loved Ana and while I can't say
much without spoilers, her sacrifice really moved me. I don't know if
I could make the same choice in her situation. Her best friend,
Pierce was definitely my second favorite, after Ana. He was just so
sweet and in my mind, he was the kind of boyfriend Ana needed. But
you can't tell the heart what to feel.
All
of Ana's sisters were pretty awesome each in their own way. While I
hated Rosalita from the get go, I soon developed a bit of empathy
for her. After all it can't be easy growing up in a family where
tradition is everything and falling in love is everything. But Mei
Lin was my favorite of all the sisters. She was so kick ass, but
under it all, I felt she had the hugest heart.
Is
it Worth Reading?:
If you haven't picked this up already, Yes! I loved this book. The
romance was well written, but it was everything else for me that
made this a book I could not read fast enough. I love the story line,
the characters, everything. I even cried at the end(good tears, but
to tell you why would spoil it. I highly recommend Love Me, Love Me
Not to readers of YA Fantasy, Paranormal, Romance and give it 5 out
of 5 crossbows.
And
Alyxandra Harvey, if you happen to read this, may we have another?
Pretty please?

Genre: YA Fantasy
Dating isn’t easy when you’re in the middle of a blood feud.
Anastasia Vila’s family can turn into swans, but just once she’d like them to turn into responsible adults.
After hundreds of years, they still cling to the blood feud with the Renard family. No one remembers how it started in the first place—but foxes and swans just don’t get along.
Vilas can only transform into their swan shape after they have fallen in love for the first time, but between balancing schoolwork, family obligations, and the escalating blood feud, Ana’s got no time for love. The only thing keeping her sane is her best friend, Pierce Kent.
But when Pierce kisses Ana, everything changes.
Is what Pierce feels for her real, or a byproduct of her magic? Can she risk everything for her best friend? And when the family feud spirals out of control, Ana must stop the fight before it takes away everything she loves.
Including, maybe...Pierce.
This Entangled Teen Crave book contains language, violence, and lots of kissing. Warning: it might induce strong feelings of undeniable attraction for your best friend.
Alyxandra Harvey lives in a stone Victorian house in Ontario, Canada with a few resident ghosts who are allowed to stay as long as they keep company manners. She loves medieval dresses, used to be able to recite all of The Lady of Shalott by Tennyson, and has been accused, more than once, of being born in the wrong century. She believes this to be mostly true except for the fact that she really likes running water, women’s rights, and ice cream. Aside from the ghosts, she also lives with her husband and their dogs. She likes cinnamon lattes, tattoos and books.
