Synopsis:
He’s
a wolf in a kilt. That pretty much says it all…
Pulling off a rescue mission at a remote castle in Scotland should be an easy task for lone wolf Damon Black. He’ll flash some muscle, show a little Alpha power, and do whatever it takes to ease Addie MacShay’s fears. But the woman who throws herself into his arms and cries boyfriend is more intriguing than anticipated. The sexy she-wolf’s got more curves, more tantalizing scent, more of everything he desires.
Addie’s job cataloguing an estate at the Sterling-Wylde Manor is complicated by the ongoing discovery of new wills and the two creepy heirs who won’t leave her alone. But her fake boyfriend turns out to be a far greater threat—not only is he fun and flirtatious, he looks delicious in a kilt. She craves his touch, but with her empathic skills on overdrive, touch is the last thing she needs.
Damon’s fighting his unruly inner beast. Addie’s fighting their incredible sexual pull. They'll both have to lower their guard to make this more than a Highland fling.

My
Thoughts:
The Cover: Love this cover!! I love everything Scottish, so the delicious Scottsman(not really Scottish, just playing the part) on the cover and my favorite animal, the wolf said it all.
The Plot: One of the things i love most about Vivian Arend books is that she takes you right into the story. In Laird Wolf, you are taken to a lonely old Scottish manor at the end of the world. You feel the presence of the manor and the dampness as our main characters explore the forgotten hidden passages. And the warmth and passion of our main characters. The story moves along with a great mix of mystery and romance and keeps the reader engaged.
The Characters: I loved all the characters of Laird Wolf, even Niall and Alastair Sterling-Wylde, the crazy Highland Tiger brothers fueding over the lovely old manor. All of our characters have such great personalities, it is hard not to think of them as friends. I loved Addie and Damon and can't wait to read more about them.
Is it Worth Reading?: Yes, yes, yes!! Definitely, even though I have been very stressed and packing like crazy for an upcoming move, I still found that there were times when I would think “oh, a 10 minute break! A cup of tea and Laird Wolf!” I would come up for air 45 minutes later, like where did the time go! I highly recommend Laird Wolf to readers of fantasy paranormal romance and give it 5/5 crossbows!
